Welcome to STEM Flights! We're happy you're here!
Our pre-flight mission activities are designed to encourage exploration and investigation of STEM and Aviation-related topics before you take flight! Included below are four STEM Missions to choose from. After you apply for a STEM Flight, you can begin working on your Mission of choice.
Please view each Mission and choose ONE that sounds most interesting for you to complete! Follow the instructions on the Mission page and remember to submit your work.

MISSION 1
Commercial Aviation, General Aviation & Military Flying
Soar into the skies with Aviation! Learn about exciting pilot careers, explore the world of aviation, investigate the Four Forces of Flight, and learn how aircrafts fly. Expand your STEM skills by learning about aviation maintenance or launching a rocket to see the Four Forces of Flight in action.
You will be thinking like a pilot before this Mission is over!
MISSION 2
Climate, Weather, & Environmental Sciences
Curious about meteorology, the climate, or weather? Want to learn more about careers in Environmental Science and how you can impact the planet to make a difference?
Investigate careers in meteorology, study weather graphs, and see how patterns in the sky impact aviation as you dive into this Mission!
MISSION 3
Drones, Physics & Advanced Air Mobility
The world of aviation is heading toward advanced technology at a significant pace and we want you to hop on board! Team up with NASA to learn about the first unmanned aircraft that impacted space travel or dive into the future with NASA's Advanced Air Mobility Playbook.
When exploring this exciting Mission, you will learn about how aerospace and aviation can truly transform the world through STEM.
MISSION 4
Aerospace Engineering: Coding & Design
Have you ever wondered what makes a drone fly? Or the science behind how machines operate? Engage your STEM senses in this Mission while learning how scientists use engineering to design and invent new technology and discover breakthroughs every day.
Expand your knowledge by creating your own coding program and explore the world of aerospace. The sky is the limit for creativity in this Mission!
